Hepatitis C treatment can have cure rates up to 98% with current medications. Initial evaluation includes an HCV genotype, ultrasound, Hepatitis C Fibrosure, HCV RNA level, CMP, CBC, and PT/INR. Four weeks into therapy, a viral load will be tested. Some people would be eligible for 8 weeks of treatment. 12 weeks after therapy is completed, another viral load will be checked to document a cure.
