Create a simple progress note by putting in the margins and selecting to put in the time and normal exam. This can be printed onto a blank sheet or onto medical progress note paper. This will hopefully cut down on the time writing notes and will hopefully lead to more legible notes. This page can be used to make templates for SOAP notes or to store daily progress notes. It can be used in the outpatient clinic or inpatient setting. If you're frequently writing similar assessment and plans or writing the same list of medications daily, then you can save the medications and assessment and plan into the optional section. Also the signature section can be saved on each note - name, title, and beeper number can be placed in every note. Saving notes works only in advanced browsers like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. The data will be saved on the local computer and not on the server. Please protect private health information appropriately. Basically use the "p" tag to start a new paragraph and use the "br" tag to start a new line. Advanced Directions for printing the background image of the progress note only work in the latest version of Mozilla and Internet Explorer. Select "print preview" before printing. Set the zoom to the appropriate level so the entire background image of the progress note fits into the page. Depending on the set up, the zoom should be around 90%. Also minimize the margins as much as possible in page settings. Turn of "shrink to fit" also. Please consult your hospital or clinic's billing department to see if these notes are compliant.
